Not feeling well!

Since Wednesday 27th I have started to feel very tired. On Friday 29th we decided it would be a good idea to go and have a blood test done to make sure I don't need a blood transfusion. We went to Preston hospital as it is closer than Manchester. We ended up waiting 2 hours just for a blood test! Eventually, we went home to wait for the results.

They soon rang up with the results. I don't need a blood transfusion as my bloods are fine but we had to go back to see the doctor.

We went to my school's summer fair but whilst we were there I started to have a head ache and feel really sick. Mum took me home where I was sick and had some paracetamol for my head ache.

On the way back to the hospital I started to feel a lot better and my head ache had calmed down.

We saw the doctor who said everything is fine I just need to rest!

Today I am feeling miles better just still very tired!

Banned from school!

This week, on Monday and Tuesday, I went into school for most of the day. On Tuesday evening we heard that there was a sickness bug going round. The following morning we decided to ring school to ask if it is safe to come in but as there were a few people off in my class, they advised me to stay at home for the rest of the week. So I kept myself busy...

The Floss.....

When I arrived at the hospital a few of the nurses were waiting for me. They  knew I had been to a dance rehearsal and they asked me if I could do "The Floss." I gave them a lesson and within a few minutes everyone was doing it!

Chemo round 4...

I was due chemo round 4 today but really wanted to see all my school friends and it was Bikeability today. I also had a dance rehearsal for the Lancashire School Games.

We decided to go to the hospital for a blood test, go to school for Bikeability, go to dancing and then go back to the hospital for chemo.

We arrived on Monday night at 7:30pm. I was all wired up by 8pm all finished by 10pm Tuesday. This chemo went a lot better than the one in Germany as I didn't feel sick at all.

Ringing The Bell!!!

YAY!!! 30/30 protons completed.

Today is a very happy & sad day. At the end of Proton the patients get to ring the bell to celebrate the end of PBT in Germany.

I am very happy that I can now go home but sad because I will miss all the fantastic doctors & nurses here in Essen.

This is the Proton Machine

This is Dr. Tippelt who was my oncologist in Essen & the nurse who flushed my line every week.

After saying our goodbyes it was time to celebrate with pizza & ice-cream!!!!!
