This morning I still felt fine!!! This afternoon a local company "PP Plasma Group" came round the ward and gave everyone a present and I got a pink DS!

Monday 18th December

Monday 18th December

This morning when we arrived at the hospital there were rumours that Manchester United are coming today!!! I think the parents were more excited than the kids!!!! When we went to see Dr. Brennen she confirmed that I am going to try a new expensive antisickness!!!!! After losing 3kg, today when they weighed me I had put on 0.7kg!!! When we got to my bed the nurses said that Manchester United are coming in the afternoon!!! My mum got a bit over excited!!

Lots of players came to the hospital and my ward got Romero and Valencia who got everyone a signed shirt, a scarf, a black sports bag and some chocolates!!!!

Unfortunately it took ages for the antisickness to arrive on the ward. Then I had to wait an hour after taking it before the chemo could start. So it was 5pm before I got started. Won't be an early finish on Thursday then.

 
 

High Temperature

Monday 11th December

Today I felt tired all day. At 6:00pm I started to get a headache and my temperature was 39.6 !!!!    IF it get above 38 it means I have an infection. We rang the hospital to ask what to do and they said come straight away for antibiotics and I will have to be In for 48 hours. We arrived at Manchester Hospital at 8:30pm. At 9:00pm they gave me some antibiotics through my line.

After waiting 3 hours for a bed at 11:00pm they put is in an icolation room on ward 75 because all the beds on ward 84 were full! When me and my dad got into our room they offered me some toast because we hadn't had any tea! Then they gave me a blood transfusion over night.

Tuesday 12th December 

Some people came round the ward today with Christmas presents for everyone! The first one that I got was a box of arts and crafts and second one was some really fluffy PG's!

Wednesday 13th December

This Morning I had some breakfast and the nurses said we are just waiting for the blood results to come through and if they are ok we can go home because my temperature is back to normal again!

Monday 4th December

I started my injections again today. (7 more to go now but 37/60 left altogether). I have been to school this morning.


Tuesday 5th December

This morning I went to school. So far this week I have been feeling great and full of  energy! My mum said that she wants a blood transfusion to keep up with me or she is asking for the blood to be taken out of me!


Wednesday 6th December

I went to school again this morning. Tonight I am going to Guides as well!


Thursday 7th December

Today (Thursday) I didn't go to school because in the morning the nurses came to flush my line and then I felt tired and didn't want to over do it so I stayed at home.


Friday 8th December

Today I went back to school and did 9am-1pm. Usually on a Friday everything goes wrong, like starting to feel tired but this Friday I managed to get to school and only feel a little bit tired! The only thing holding me back now, is that I have a mouth ulcer (another side effect) and it is right underneath my tongue so every time I move it it really hurts. We are half way there
so nothing is going to stop me now!!!!!!!!!!

On last hour & a half of hydration. The blood is ready & waiting to start my transfusion as soon as hydration is finished. I should be all done by 4pm & then I can go HOME!!!!!
I started being sick at 6am this morning & have been sick four times. YUCK!!!
I feel awful!

I am half way there though now so that's good.

On Monday morning at the hospital I passed my blood test (just) so I could start round 3 of chemo. After the chemo this time I'm going to have a blood transfusion to help me recover quicker. Reckon I'll be skipping out of here then!!!!
Dr. Brennen is a bit worried that I have lost 3kg in weight so she is getting a dietician to come & see me while i'm in hospital.

THE BEST NEWS EVER IS THAT ACCORDING TO MY MRI SCAN MY LUMP IS LESS THAN HALF THE SIZE IT WAS AFTER ONLY 2 CHEMOS!!!!!!!!!

Fighting My Cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On Tuesday I got a cold and my nose was running like a tap!!!! I got bannned from school because of too many coughs & colds going around. I kept myself busy at home.

Back To Normal Again!!!!!!!!

I am feeling much better today and considering going to school tomorrow!!!!! We started doing my injections again today!!!!!!OUCH!!!!!!!!!! I suppose that if they make me feel better they are worth it though!!!!!

I cannot stop eating pasta with cheese on top.....  YUM YUM...

Home again!!!!!

Thursday 9th

I was sick in hospital on Thursday night but didn't tell the nurses because we just wanted to get Home! Daddy found a wheelchair in the carpark- trust him to do something like that! It is coming in very handy though, as one of the side effects is feeling dizzy and light headed when I stand up! I just can't believe how many annoying side effects there are!

We got home at 10pm & I went straight to bed.

Friday 10th

In the morning I still didn't feel great and still felt sick. I spent the day on the sofa and tried to have some pasta and milk but seconds after swallowing it I was sick. But at least I tried to have something! I was sick twice on Friday and could barely keep my eyes open so in the evening when mum was at work I had I little sleep which made me feel a bit better. Then I got my confidence up to try and have some more milk and I wasn't sick!!!!!!! Then went straight up to bed!

Saturday 11th

This morning I decided that I wanted some more milk and I wasn't sick! I had to go to Nan's house while mum was at work and dad had to take Milly training at Manchester's Aquatics Centre near my hospital! 

When we got home I got my confidence up to try some more pasta and it stayed down!!!!!!!!

In the evening, Milly and I had a nail painting session as I got a nail art kit present - thank you!

For tea I had a few chips, pork steak and unfortunately peas, which I just ate because I knew my mum wouldn't let me get away with it!

Then straight to bed!

2nd Chemo almost over!!!!!!!

Bit better this time but still feel a  little bit sick.

I have had all the chemo now for this session.

 9:10pm tonight I will start 24 hours of flush to wash the chemo back out .

THEN I CAN GO HOME!!!!!!!!

Keeping busy in hospital

I did crafts in the play room and in my bed...

and had lots of trips to the toilet..... with my robot....

2nd Chemo up and running!

We had an early morning start to get to the hospital for my second lot of chemo. On the way I was really scared of the chemo being as bad as last time but when we got here Dr. Brennan said that I definitely won't be sick with this new antisickness. Even though she was very confident about it I am not sure whether to believe her or not.

I had fish and chips for my lunch and then went to school hoping that the chemo will be ready to start at about 3. While I was at school, the nurse came in to say that she can't do the antisickness through my line because I only have two pipes and they need both for the chemo:-(. She gave me the option of either the same antisickness as last time (errrrr..... no!) or put a canula in and do the antisickness through there. So of course I chose the canula because I'd prefer to have a canula in for 4 days than be up all night being sick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They started the chemo about 3:30pm. I had pizza for my tea and then loads of chocolate trifle for my pudding!!!!!!! Then I was really full!!!!!!!!! Then sat up in bed and did some colouring seen as I feel fine so far. Fingers crossed it will stay like that!!!

 

Normality

Sally was buzzing today. Went dog walking to try & get rid of some energy!!

Hair Cut Time!

My hair was starting to get really thin and it looked awful. It was getting really annoying as well because I was forever picking hair off things like my food! I wanted to get it shaved off! So we put my hair in a platt and my mum cut it off at the top while the rest of my family kept messing with my hair that had fallen out! That made me laugh a lot!!!!!!!! Personally, I don't think I suited short hair but everyone thinks I do! Milly went swimming but when she got back we shaved my hair off. At first it felt really weird but I have got used to it now. This morning we went back to Manchester to get my wig. The lady had found us a really good colour which was good! Then she went off to go and curl it! It looks just like my hair! I love it!
